I thought we were going to lose for sure when I saw the starting 11. I was even more shocked when Moyes used up all his subs before the 70th minute. Even then I was worried because Anichebe isn't the most inspiring sight when you need a goal but Moyes got it right. All the subs looked hungry and wanted to prove something. Gueye and Strac are quickly becoming favourites of mine. Gueye has great control and intelligent passes that are always going forward. And Strac works damn hard. He seems like the only center forward at the club, he stays up high, runs the channels, and works the defense where as Saha plays deep which doesn't work without a forward partner. Also nice bit of skill in the box from Strac, his touch drastically improved in this game. I think Gueye and Strac are due for a goal about now. ;)

Nice to see Anichebe staying on his feet, he managed to push through two defenders for that goal. For such a massive guy he has got some wicked pace. I'm still not made up on him though.

Well that was the worst Albion performance I've seen in a long time - too peed off to post yesterday.

We celebrated our 0 - 0 with Citeh like we'd won the cup so maybe Woy thought another 0 - 0 would also have the fans in raptures or maybe he was mindful of the number of hangovers that the crowd were nursing and gave strict instructions that under no circumstance was anybody to do anything that had the potential to wake people up.

Jeez, first half was truly awful, Everton were the better side but that's not saying much. Second half we were much better - as in occasionally we strung two passes together and even made the occasional journey into the opposition half, only looking mind you as we couldn't produce a single effort on target, easiest money Harvey will ever pick-up!

Well done on the win, definitely the better team on the day (I'm guessing you guys will have a lot of sympathy for Scharner for his mistake). Let's hope for a better match in the return...

Happy New Year

Scharner is tw@ mate, I hope Big Dunc was waiting to sneer at him at the end.

Prepare to take one....

"Duncan Ferguson elbowed me in the neck three times and I was beginning to get a bit angry. I swore at him in Austrian and I know he couldn't possibly have understood it. Even so, he suddenly swung round and thumped me in the stomach. He got sent off, but I began to appreciate how he earned his reputation as a hard man. It was a nice punch, I have to say."

I was at this game..less said the better but we won! :D

Literally half of the home fans were dosing off, and I wish I was exaggerating!

Big Vic has thanked the fans for the support and chanting his name when he scored.

Does the lad have a song or just his name or whatever???
