Chinese ownership has been a bit iffy in England.

Only have to see the mess at Birmingham,6th place halfway through the season and they decide to sack one of the best young Englishman managers in the game In Gary Rowett and hire a dinosaur like Redknapp who barely kept them up going to the last game of the season. In the summer they sign 16 players Redknapp style wasting money and he gets sacked in the first month of the season and they have been in the bottom 3 all season.

West Brom were one of the best run clubs under Jeremy Peace and now they are a mess of a club since Chinese ownership the last 12 months.

Totally agree, Chinese ownership is very wong.

Wolves are doing well now.

But when they struggle in the PL under a very good manager that they have now the Chinese owners will be rash and impatient.

It will unravel at Wolves soon enough.

Look at Inter and Ac Milan owned by Chinese owners, absolute mess at both clubs, changing managers every season, wasting money and miles away from Juve and Napoli.

I think not being in the Prem. will bring its own cuts anyway
True. Nevertheless, their point was more that even if they were to somehow stay up he'd impose cuts on squad numbers, fees and wages etc.

If they were to go down, which is more likely than not, then they're worried that his impact will not facilitate a prompt return to the PL.

Lots of sales... not much brought in as replacements... sort of along those lines.
