They’ve won 3 fa cups in the past 4 years and are favourites to win UEFA Cup...

I’d kill for a manager whose gone by his sell by date if it meant three trophies in four years.

But yes they are going backwards in terms of challenging for league.

Ancelotti seems to tick all the boxes for them. CL looks unlikely for them next season again so they won't risk a 3rd season by going for someone inexperienced.

..yes, his record is remarkable. It appears he’s left a fine legacy with the infrastructure of that club.
