Player Valuation: £500k
I said I would not give an opinion till Xmas, I am absolutely delighted with our prefomance's this season and with our new manager, but am also aware that we have over £60,000,000 of loans in our squad in Lakuku and delaflue if we do really well can we afford to keep hold of at least one of them for next season, I'm looking at WBA after finishing 8th last season with Lakuku .

We've got far better players than WBA with or without Lukaku plus we got some money to burn from Fellaini sale.

Doubt we will get either Lukaku or Deulofeu permanently but its shown there's good players out there for loan.

As long as we have them brown shoes patrolling the touchline then everything is gonna be sound.

We always use the loan market quite well anyway. Despite being an exciting player Del ha been on the periphery really.

We have got some money left over from the sales of Fellaini & Anichebe and it's about Martinez spending it right, either next month or in the summer?!.

But I reckon weve only got something in the region between £10m-£15m?!. I know likes of Elstone said the McCarthy deal wasn't dependant on the sale of Felli but sorry, that was bollox!. Why was it when we bid for him before Fellaini left, Wigan knocked it back and said the offer was a joke, with very little upfront and the rest on drip over god knows how many years, then we sell Felli and can afford to pay the fee all upfront?!.

Then take into consideration the loan fee and wages for Barry, as they wont of come cheap!.

So we wont have as much as some people would like to think.

But what does Martinez do?. Use the money in Jan to improve us and give the squad that help for the final push in the season to try and qualify for the CL (I think he should)?. Or does he go for cheap deals or loans and saves the majority of his money till the summer?.

But we may get to keep Deulofeu for atleast another season anyhow which would be great, but Lukaku could be a different story?!. Watching him recently, and especially yesterday, I think it shows why Mourinho loaned him out. He's nowhere near ready to leading the line for Chelsea, it's not his movement or goalscoring ability that's the problem, it's his work rate, touch at times and his ability to hold up the ball!. Sometimes the ball just bounces off of him, instead of holding on to the ball and protecting it, he tries the one touch lay offs and 8, 9 times out of 10 it never comes off, and yesterday him trying this led to us giving a pen away.

If Chelsea go out in the summer and get a couple of good strikers, I think Lukaku could be up for loan again?!. But reading about the lad, how ambitious he is and his desire to play regulary, he could possibly ask for a transfer?! But could we afford him outright, I doubt it, unless we did end up qualifying for the CL?!.

I'd take the lad on loan again next season, no questions asked, but we do need to be looking for someone to come in long term and be are main man upfront!.

Let next year look after itself next year, enjoy the ride. One of the big differences is that Martinez has brought a sense of belief. Many of my RS mates are crapping themselves with their up and coming fixtures. Spurs, City and Chelsea away. At the moment what would we be feeling? I think we would say that is tough but looking forward to it, just like last week Manu away followed by Arsenal. That's the difference, and I for one thank Martinez for bringing back that extra special feeling supporting the blues. And my lads mates can no longer take the mick out of him and Everton for not winning at one of the Sky 4.

Unfortunately for Bobby and us, though we have a bright young progressive manager... we still have the financial incompetents running the club. Why do people think the boarid is suddenly any more capable of producing funds?

Hate to burst all these bubbles about signing either of the loanees.. or others at their level, but I will be shocked if we have more than 5 million to spend.

10 if it's on the never - never.

I'll be very surprised if the money made through transfers over the summer hasn't found its way into the lawnmower fund, so unless he moves on Baines or Heitinga I think Martinez is going to have to continue getting the best out of what he's already got.

I have every faith in him though.

Were have you been the last five years? The majority of transfers these days are paid for over the length of the contract. It is rare for the whole of a transfer fee to be paid in one lump sum. Its all about organising accounts to cover the regular payments and wages. I think we can spend confidently, and Martinez has been up front about needing cover for long term injuries, we are up to our limit with loans, so there may be a couple of cheapish buys in January. The big clear out and transfer movement in will happen in summer, and may depend on whether we are in the CL or not.

I can see LB staying and not going to Man ure (why would he?), with maybe Johhny H and Jelli seeking pastures greener elsewhere in the New Year which might give Bobby brown shoes some cash to splash.
I hope we put aside some money to offer a nominal fee for Barry or even get him on a pre-contract agreement to join us at the end of the season full time, because for me he has done enough to warrant it. This along with a possible 2nd year loan for Del boy would stand us in good stead and able to pick up a couple of new players to bolster the squad

- Deulofeu has started 2 (TWO) league games this season. He is a talented kid but he is not a 'vital' member of the team.
- Barry is out of contract in May and available on a free. He has already said he'd like to stay at Everton if something can be arranged (hard to imagine it won't be).
- Lukaku is Lukaku, yes he is a great player and has made a big difference to the team.

However we are not WBA; we also have McCarthy, Barkley, Pienaar, Coleman, Baines, Oviedo, Jags, Distin, Howard. We have quality throughout the side. WBA may have finished 8th last season, but Everton finished 14 POINTS ahead of them.

If we qualify for Europe, specifically the CL, we will have the extra funds to buy players rather than loan them, and we will also be more attractive to players.

Would you rather us have spent £100m on a load of rubbish players that we own, or have 3 on loan who are really good? I know what I'd rather have.

Martinez is doing a brilliant job and there are absolutely no negatives at all about anything he is doing at the moment.

Of course we have not become a cash rich "superbrand" overnight and we all know the limitations within which RM will have to work but what an Autumn, what a start from the new manager.

If ( its a huge if ) but IF we can go top 4 and bring CL football to merseyside do not underestimate the attractivenes of our great club to players who may not be in the Messi/Ibra/Ribery level of unreachability but are nonetheless top class players. CL opens the gates to being in the mix for real talent.

Lets get this straight about our loand signings, Dellboy will go back to barca, Lukaku will go to the highest bidder and barry may stay with us but there could be bigger deals out there on his perfomance with us.

Enjoy the loan signings and the success they are bringing, look forward to the next sesaon where we may be thanks to those loans although they may have moved on. Their efforts could put us in a good position for 2014/15 and for for us hopefully to build on.

Re RM, I have watched all his interviews and boy this guy is so articulate and fluent in English. What he says is so good and positive, does not **** others off but is very respectful, a joy to listen to unlike our EX. (some postees on here could do well to learn from RM)
