Reidy's Bottle Of Grecian

The Unobstructed View
This should go well.

first up.

Teacher on news reckons that now they havent got their guaranteed pay rises loads will leave teaching to work in the private sector. They see their friends buying houses etc & they can't.

Not sure what doing like as many wont have any other kind of work experience, never mind the fact that the job market aint exactly awash with opportunities, but hey-ho lets see how they like it in the real worls where folk haven't had a pay rise for years and only get 26 days holiday, or maybe theyd like to try the self employment option where you get no paid holidays or guaranteed wage.

I await the stampede and a collective releasing a version of schools out.

& thats just 1 of the groups hit today by our friends in govt.

But as those front benchers with their tax cut like to tell us, "We're All In This Together."

I love your continual agenda of teacher hate. Well in lid, this thread will go pop I reckon.

I see them as one of the main groups that really can't grind an axe regarding employment, pay & conditions.

Fcking strike tomorrow, kids off school, horsecrap.

Same here, they sent me a letter last friday ffs, monitoring attendance for 15 days, then announce school shut, then daughter gets invite on school trip 'for achievers.'

I'd rather we paid them a good competitive wage as they usually have to study for years to be a teacher and they're looking after our lids. We need them lids to be looked after by the best possible people, professional people who are dedicated to the role.

It's a very stressful job and one where you may knock off at four but you're marking homework in the night. So I personally don't mind seeing that offset with some extra holidays for them.

Let's swerve the race to the bottom, that's what the tories want, focus instead on them doing a terrible job of restarting this economy and the pricks like Michael Gove who openly resent the working class types.

Hi teachers.

Come and work in the private sector and try and strike whenever you feel unloved.

Good luck x

I've an idea, instead of supplementing teachers striking, why not pay some foreign teachers to step in when they do strike and see if they feel so unfortunate when the replacement ( cheaper) workforce become more competitive.

It's a sad state of affairs if were sneering at people striking. They're striking for a reason, and a large part of that reason is the way they're being treated by the government in power. I took work in the private sector but it doesn't make me resent someone else earning a good wage, or striking if they feel they're being f*cked over.

The tories have done enough to take away the worker's rights and hand all the power to the employers. Direct your ire at them and not those standing up and stopping themselves from being f*cked over even more.

Great idea.
