You'd actually say that about someone who got Everton much nearer top than bottom on a transfer budget of 27p and was 110% behind the club? Maybe he is and maybe he isn't the way to go now, but he took us from complete garbage to a team not to be disregarded on a consistent basis. Shame!

Given he is the only manager to win one this century, well Smith got one in 2000 and the last 4 managers have failed.
