Exactly, saw the same in 84 when we must have out numbered Watford 3-1 at least.

Haha the other ticket was for my best mate. I knew he couldn't afford £325 at the time so I told him it was £100 - he moaned like crazy all the way down there about rip off touts lol

Can remember not getting a ticket for the '89 Cup final, I wanted 2. Answered an advert in the Echo on the Thursday before the final and drove up to meet this guy on the Formby by-pass. Paid £650 for two tickets in the "neutral area", tickets supplied by Lancs County FA.

I used to like getting my 2 tickets per final ( league and FA ) from the Lancs County FA. There were 2 conditions of Purchase. 1) They were not allowed to be offered as prizes in a raffle, we got round that by holding a raffle for a mars bar, which just by chance came wrapped in a Cup final Ticket.
2) They were for specifically for my own personal use.

unlike the 2 I got from the Lpool County FA, which were allocated to the Club and came stamped with our name.

There was high ding dong when I exercise my Lancs County FA right in 83 and 84

I paid with Club money for the Lpool County FA tickets and with my own money for the Lancs ones

Another perk with the Lancs was The AGM was held at high end venues all around the County and I got to mingle with all the top and not so top Clubs, plus a free scoff with wine.
