Weekend weather warning.


After a sunny Christmas Day and a drop in temperatures across Liverpool and Merseyside, the New Year is set to bring snow, frost and ice to the county.
In Liverpool, New Year’s Day (January 1) will see a low of 3°C and rainy conditions, with wet weather continuing into Friday (January 2) with a low of -1°C. But, rain looks set to be replaced by snow, with BBC Weather predicting several days of wintry showers.
According to BBC Weather, Liverpool will experience its first snowfall of 2026 from 11.00pm on Saturday (January 3),
continuing throughout Sunday (January 4) and Monday (January 5
