I've been to USA, to NYC. Lovely place, and I found it very similar to Liverpool, just larger. Same community spirit, same attitudes, and same "good areas" and "bad areas".

Is it any different, anywhere on the world?

USA ain't America, Groucho. And Liverpool is much more left-wing than NYC.

TBH I knew it was skewed to the rich, but not to the extent illustrated.

A few months back someone on here posted a link to a site with broad financial data from around the 50's to now, pertaining to the US, and amongst other things, (iirc) the cash earned per hour for the lowest 40pc hasn't changed, and is maybe worse; it also shows in more detail the transition of 'gross' inequality from the mid seventies to date.

Liverpool is left when it comes to economics and everything being equal, when it comes to outsiders, staunchly right although they'd never admit it.

Yes, let's make it all wealth equal for everyone because after all, it is their right.

Oh, wait....no, no it's not. Everyone in the USA has the right to do their best to obtain that wealth through what we call hard work. Start your own business, go work for someone and save up and build wealth. But NO ONE has the RIGHT to WEALTH EQUALITY just because someone says so. Want wealth? Go out and earn it.

In the meantime, let's talk about REAL wealth inequality.

110 people in Russia control 35% of the wealth.

Saw that a few weeks ago but I think it was on Bloomberg but couldn't find it so that was another article that hit on it.

Nah I'd admit it, but with the large majority of those not from our great city being helmets I'd say that was fair.
