We need an 'Inchy' moment...

I was there
And the 1st replay v Gillingham for that matter
I always felt we could and should've nicked a winner
An inchy moment?
With this shower of gob...ts
Think we sent Oxford home to think again 4_0

We’ve needed this ‘moment’ for about 20 years.

A few moments have been and gone which some said ‘that could be our inchey moment’ but they were not.

I think we need a complete overhaul of the entire club. Then we might actually get lots of ‘moments’.

We won’t get that overhaul of course though. It’s not the ‘Everton Way’. Whatever that is.

That back pass went into history, rightly so but tony cascarino’s late miss in first replat vs Gillingham is up there in my mind since that was the FA cup which we actually won. Thank you Kevin Brock though!! I still think Inchy is going to miss every time I see it!!!
I had forgotten about that.

We are so far away from an 'anything' moment right now, just dull and boring, to be continued next season it appears..... we lose to the teams above us and win at home to those below, snatching the occasional draw from the jaws of victory.

Not as dramatic as inchys but the biggest moment like that in my lifetime was the palace keeper taking forever to clear a ball and kev Campbell taking it off him and being brought down for a pen in the second game of the season in 2004. We’d been hammered by arsenal at home the week before. Were heavily tipped to go down, and we’re 1 down to a piss poor palace side. Gravesen slotted the pen,we went on to beat them and never looked back that season.

Srangely enough, the most recent 'inchy moment' didn't have the desired effect for very long. Phil Nevilles tackle on Ronaldo raised the spirits, but only briefly.

It'll take much more than one moment like that to turn this club around again. Those days are gone. Money is power yet we still can't compete despite having a Billionaire owner. Need a new board, ground, squad, manager and mentality. One game won't help. We'd lose in the next round no doubts anyways. We're not set up to win anything, therefore we won't.

We had one this season with Niasse returning from out of nowhere to score two boss goals against Bournemouth. That was a proper feel good moment and everyone was buzzing.

Then we just reverted back to type. Oh well.
Still my favourite game of the season that, though I may be bias as I was in the Lower Gwladys for that one!

Seems like what we really need is a Coventry moment where everyone gets ferociously booed off the pitch at the final whistle. Far too many people, especially the ones who attend the games, won’t show their true feelings like that. The first step to recovery is admitting there’s a problem.
