Tell me something we dont know Paul !

I guess thats the first thing you would think when you read my threads title. (closely followed by: Here we go, what has that tool posted now?!) Between you & me i think your right.....

Anyway we all know how much BS the media come up with on a daily basis, especially in football around the transfer window times, usually its the same old back handed compliment linking us to some decent players (we are no longer relegation candidates linked with the likes of Shaun Maloney or Ali Al Habsi....wait a minute......) followed by once Ross Barkley has completed his £45million to Chelsea or City. You know the usual lazy journalism crap.

This become more apparent in recent weeks to me, especially when visiting GOT. As with many other football fans we often post threads asking who should Everton sign in the window ? Most recently it is the Goalkeeper dilemma or the need of a winger to balance the team.

The common names are Marshall (cardiff), the young mainz keeper and John Ruddy (norwich), this was then reported by one or two rags as Martinez interested in *insert keeper name here*.

I also posted a comment recently asking what peoples thoughts were on Aaron Lennon and how much you pay for him if available ? A day or two later one paper reported we are favourites for his signature !

Now i am not saying we are apart of some conspiracy plot, but actually how many stories we read in the papers are not made up by journalists but by us ourselves ? If we constantly talk about lets say Barkley leaving for United - a journo picks it up and publishes it - rumours begin - agents hear this - player is told Chelsea are interested - player leaves - journalist is then 'in the know'.

What are your thoughts on Journalism ? Do you get excited hearing us linked with certain players, even though you know it is probably tosh ?

What is your most favourite rumour ? The infamous Riquelme deal ?
Who would you like for us to sign if we only sign one player ? Marshall, Perisic or maybe the focus should be improved offers for Mirallas or McCarthy is the priority ?

Thoughts people ???

Favourite paper rumour was that chelsea were planning on signing Ashely cole and roberto carlos at the same time. As if the daily star hadn't realised they both cant play at the same time.

My favourite rumour this summer is Liverpool being linked to Garbutt. Seriously, imagine if they signed him. Everton reserve left back on a free transfer when they've already got a full international left back who's the same age and cost £16m. What a statement of intent that would be

My favourite rumour is the one about Oxlade Chamberlain, it never seems to go away. Whoever started it should be hauled onto the pitch at half time tomorrow and dealt some punishment in the centre circle. On a serious note, I suspect the majority of rag rumours are taken from forums such as ours, that's why I don't believe them until DAVID MOYES says otherwise.

Martinez is the manager now pal.

More votes for winger than goalkeeper?

I mean...??????

???????????????????????????????????

??

Where would you get your jarg info if you were a journo? GOT is brimming with guff rumours and obscure wishlists, as most forums are.
Hence, definitely worth a punt on a throwaway article for click bait as once in a blue moon, they're right.

That Lancaster bomber found on the moon was a good rumour

I've been watching the discovery channel for 25 years now and it's never been the subject of one of their program's

I'm starting to think it's just not true.............

Ps I'd have Aaron Lennon in a flash

"Go on any Everton internet fans forum and they seem to be split on whether he is a lazy carthorse who is not worth the money, or a potential superstar who just needs to be fed the right passes."

This is a quote from Robbie Savage's BBC column which I used in the "Everton: Why Roberto Martinez must be more like David Moyes" thread.
So, he admits to going on Everton forums and using the material to write his articles. If he's doing it then obviously other journalists are too.
They make up BS, steal other people's ideas and, on top of it, they get paid for lying and being unethical.

Journalism: It's a pity that Newspapers aren't used for chip shop wrappers and toilet paper now a days... any thing else would be a waste.

Personally i think Aaron Lennon would be a good addition, i thought mcgeady might step up but he likes too many step over or body feints (most people faint hearing he is on the team sheet). Again depending on how much he would cost.

Rumours are Everton are going to put in a bid for Scott Parker. Martinez is best friends with his great uncles step brother who has a cat called whiskers. Sunderland, Tottenham and Palace are also monitoring the situation.

I am now I.T.K.
