Everton Captain Phil Neville has demanded an improvement from his team for the second leg of the Uefa Cup tie with Fiorentina.

After a disappointing 2-0 defeat in the first leg, serial 'pointer' Phil Neville admitted: "We didn't play at all tonight. We were a bit negative in our play.

"The manager set us out to attack but we didn't get forward, we didn't play as we should and that's always a let down at a place like this."

"We have got to play at a higher tempo and we have got to create chances, put crosses in; we have got to play how Everton play.

"I am sure the atmosphere is going to be even better next week so we will see."

Wrap up Neville

I'm sick to death reading stuff from Phil Neville, what we really need is HIM out of the team, his consistant below par performances coupled with his total inability to pass to anybody wearing an Everton shirt makes his an absolute liability. Unfortunately because he's the captain he seems to be bulletproof, Moyes needs to make Lesctt captain and drop Moyes .............. and Neville needs to shut up.
