Not sure mate. But like everyone on here - the common word back then was a buyer was lined up if Kirkby was approved.

Hopefully just a coincidence that Man City were then taken over within a month of the Kirkby call in.

Danny, i doubt a billionaire in waiting cares about building a stadium if they are already spending hundreds of millions on players each year.

As Kenwright said, owning a club is a trophy status not a money making exercise.

If they're not a supporter, and one club needs £250 million spending before you even get starting, and a lot of others don't, they're probably not going to go for that club, regardless of whatever history that club has.
