I had a BMW M5 a G reg classic... was worth about 5-6 grand and very collectable. Out of interest I put in for a price... they offered me 1000. Haha jokers

i think people are missing the point here.

webuyanycar was initially set up to give buyers a more realistic price before trading in with a dealer.

the price a dealer offers you if your trading in or part exchanging is always derisory. less than auction value. as invariably if your car is more than 3 years old, thats all the dealers do, send them to auction.

webuyanycar was set up to offer you an easy cash alternative instead of just trading your car in for next to nothing.

people seem to think its there to buy your car at private sale prices. this would obviously never work!

i think its a handy alternative and they are very easy to deal with.

Someone I use to worked with was telling he did the online stuff and was offered £7k, he took the car down to his local place and said this lad with a clipboard walks round the car writing stuff down, after the lad is finished he turns round and offers him £2500, the lad who's car it was was gobsmacked and asked the lad why the online evaluation was £7k but that was now down to £2500, the lad said it was because 2 of the alloys had kerb damage, there was a scratch on one of the back panels and there was a stain on one of the seats. The lad turns round and says that if he takes the car away and has that stuff sorted and comes back will he then get the £7k, the lad turns round and say's "Doubt it"

The problem is though mate is this is what they say about their online valuation:

Get an online car valuation
"Our car valuation tool is easy to use, free and provides an instant online quote. Our price guarantee ensures that you get the price we quote online if your car is in the condition you say its in and your valuation is guaranteed for 7 days."

The lad who I know said he put down everything about the condition the car was in and the valuation came out at £7k, when he took the car down they would only offer him £2500 (because of the 2 kerb damaged alloys, stain on the seat, and scratch on one of the back panels) even though he put this damage down when he did it online.

I used their valuation at a trade-in to boost the price. It was higher than the dealer was offering. I think unless you sell a motor privately then you will get ripped off regardless. But who cares, we all live in a throw away disposable society where anything more than a year old is automatically worthless. Right? Right...?

Soon as I seen their advert with the stupid idiot in a suit doing keepie uppies I filed these as people I would never use no matter what.
