'You might get a few extra quid if you sold your car privately, but I value my time so I sold it with we buy any car'.

Has anyone used these rip off merchants?

They offered me £1200 LESS than what a car dealer offered me for a trade in. So I got a lot more money and was a lot less hassle than going through we buy any car.

Rip-off merchants of the highest order.
Offered me £200 for a ten year old Merc A-Class with less than 60,000 miles on the clock from new.
Got £1200 for it inside two days of advertising it !!

Used them for a few crates over the years, (SORN jobs), but wouldnt sell a decent, or even a driveable one to them.

I went to them once and they offered a hilariously bad deal. On top of that, they wanted to charge me an "admin fee" for the privilege of receiving the money from them. Walked away and was offered £200 more by the first person that came to look at the car.

Cannot quite believe that there are enough stupid people out there to allow this business to thrive.

I went once and once only. Got offered 6 grand online. Not bad. Went in and she knocked it down to 1800 quid. Imaginary damage. She said that's been resprayed, I said, no that's a diesel stain from filling up. She knew nothing about cars. I was fuming. Car I'd had from new. Never had body work done.

Total utter crooks.

ive had a great deal with them. had a merv vito van from new on a 52 plate, it had dones its work for me and was in terrible condition by the end, just a complete rust bucket, as with all vito's from that era. anyway, put it on ebay and gumtree thinking that someone would want it just for the engine as it was still very good. no takers, couldnt even give it away!

tried webuyanycar, the original quote was £1200. £1200 !!! so i took her down there, they went over it and offered me £900.. was happy as fook, couldnt even get £200 off anyone on gumtree or ebay!

they said as it had full service history, and a bit of MOT and was a one owner van, thats why the price was good , even tho the bodywork was shagged
