We’re Signing Bad Players?

yeah, we're signing bad players. with "bad" merely being shorthand for "bad muthatruckas." tough finding shorts to wear in public, what with the 'full salute' i've been sporting for the past month.

what is it? over a billion spent and still yet to deliver a premier league trophy. Liverpool fans literally are the last fans on earth who should laugh at another team's spending. We could make about 3 starting XI's out flops that they've bought for big money. I mean just look at the benches they had in the last quarter of the season? west ham were putting out better benches.

We've addressed all the key areas and most of the players we've brought in have been my ideal first choices and in the case of henry someone who i got very excited about and we're still far from done. It's not always the flashy players that succeed in this league, a steady eddy like gary cahill for example has made chelsea solid for years, whereas man city have been spending £30m plus continually on centre backs who always give you hope ... whereas their meagre £6m for kompany has always been their best defensive deal.

We're signing our key targets. And we're doing it early.

And yes, there is a price to be paid for doing this. It's common knowledge that Everton have money to burn, so your Sunderlands and Burnleys are not going to sell to us on the cheap. We could play a long game, make low bids, try and whittle down the resistance of the selling clubs and hope to pick players up for a few million cheaper later in the window. But we chose not to. And you know what ? It feels great that the club are in such a healthy position that they can act decisively like this in the transfer market. I really can't believe that there are fans whingeing because they reckon we've "overpaid" slightly on a few players. Get over it, please !

Sandro and Klaassen I'm really excited for. They're gonna be our Vardy and Mahrez in the memorable 17/18 season when Everton won the league.

..good players or bad players, folk can talk on here until the cows come home. The only determination will be how the team performs. Time will tell us the answer.
This really.

Yes we may be paying over the odds a little but at some point, if we want to mix it at the top again like we should, we're gonna have to cough up a bit extra to begin with.

Also, football transfer fees are in a mental state at the moment, and fees are inflated so mix the two and we are paying more than we should - but we are paying it rather than going with what we've got, re-signing James McFadden for no reason whatsoever, taking kitchen roll to a tea towel fight etc.....

It fascinates me the way judgements on our transfer activities are already so definite without a ball being kicked in anger.

The truth is that Pickford, Klaasen and Sandro for different reasons are unknown quantities.
They may be disappointments or 50m players within two or three season...they are all young players just moving onto a new level in their careers.. Keane as well.
unknown to you maybe but I'm happy to trust the judgement of Steve Walsh and Koeman.
