Sorry but how can people think the Rooney goal is overrated. The timing of it is the main thing for me. To time an overhead kick without taking a touch on it yourself first was just insane. He met it in mid air from a pacey cross perfectly.

Still a tit though.

When i was 15 i was playing for my sunday league team and hit the bar with a 1st time overhead from about 30 yards out and i used my actual foot, they look cool but they arent exactly hard to do and any striker worth a carrot especially premier league strikers should be able to do them. Whoever said perfect advert for the Prem is correct i think, Cisse and Crouch's recent goals have both been better imo.

no, i was looking for his hattrick v leeds because i vaguely remember one of those goals being special, but it didnt appear and this popped up! do apologise, didnt click your link
