Moving over there in a couple of weeks. Never actually been to that part of Ireland before but I couldn't turn down the job.

Just wanted to know if Any of the irish toffees meet up for any of the games? And is there anything terrible about the place. Cheers lads

Waterford is Ireland's oldest city, founded by the Vikings

they are mad into hurling.

the local delicacy is a 'Blaaaaa' - white floury roll. Very nice with some 'red' on it, ie - a slab of ham.

funny accent down that way too

Ah, that explains this then, they were hungry.

Sounds like it could be like this

Whereabouts in Waterford are you moving too? is it Waterford City or County? Its a nice area of the country if a little dull. Lots of wildlife about.

Waterford City is quite a lively city and good night life anytime I've been down. Lots of festivals during the summer. Depending on where you are Cork City is only about an hour's drive and Dublin probably double that so not too far from the big smokes!

Waterford Utd play at the RSC which is near the famous Waterford Crystal plant (gone now). They are rubbish and have been for years. There are a couple of decent golf courses there if you are a golfer?

You'll have to get into the Hurling if you're going to be there for any length of time, they are crap at that too but think they are good.

A young Rik Mayall on the right, next to his mate (& ours) Brian Glover (Bald head, 4th from right)

Never ever even noticed, or knew about that. Great call mate. Will nick that, and impress some film buffs I know.

(I know less about films than I do about football)
