Watching football neutrally

moving on from San Bruno's (http://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/e...ou-follow-second-team-if-so-who-why-them.html) thread. If you watching a random football match, are you completely neutral, or do you always pick sides, although you can't really be that bothered? Noticed myself, that I'll never watch any football match completely neutral, but always am a little biased towards one of the teams.

Depends really.

Often find myself leaning towards one of the teams, usually either cause it has some effect on us or cause i know a fan of one of the teams and i want them to lose so i can laugh at them :D.

I tend to root for the underdog unless the underdog is a team I really don't like.

I try to watch as much football as I can, its hard with the kids tho, sometimes my Son will watch it with me, he always asks me what team "we" are supporting, so I normally have to pick one.

The last year hes really taking an interest in football and Everton, so young, so much pain to come.

I always tend to take a side. Makes the match more interesting doesn't it. It's usually the better footballing side, unless a team I actively dislike such as Real or Liverpool are playing when I generally support whoever is playing them.

Would you really want it any other way though? He supports the greatest club in the world and was chosen to do so. The more pain we have to endure how sweeter the glory is and will be.(y)

*Please don't start crying over my sentimental post.:P

This.

For some reason though i side with Arsenal a lot, i think because i admire their style of play. I wanted them to win when they beat Villa 3-0.

Sometimes though i want United, Chelsea and Arsenal to keep winning just so the RS don't get a chance at winning the league, ever

I always root for one side, i cannot ever remain completely neutral. I usually go for the underdog too

I know that 99 per cent of the time in wrestling, everyone backstage knows who's going to win beforehand, it's all decided before any bouts start usually, most fans don't know of this, or maybe they do, I lost interest years ago, they should try that with football for a season.

just sort of like Germany and Austria in the World Cup, that sort of thing, we play like Hull, Hibbert scores after three minutes, and then just an aimless arseing around until the end, Yakubu and Moyes can go ice sliding on the touchlines, they should try that.
