didn't realise you were such a talent jacks! what went wrong?
Hahahaha, cracked me up that.

Adriano, the one who played for Inter. Had an utterly disgusting shot and absolutely looked the real deal.
Pato was supposed to be good too but is/was a permacrock
I'd guess not with Rooney, don't think he's ever had the supreme technique to be at world 11 or even 22 level - his explosivity when he was young plus his all round football intelligence disguises that a little bit I think.Speaking of Inter, what a talent Recoba was (on his day). Not sure he really made the most of that.
Has anyone mentioned Rooney yet? You look at the trajectory of his career versus Ronaldo and you do wonder whether he could have been that true world beater rather than just a very, very good player.

Plus he's had the entire tabloid press crawling up his ringpiece everytime he goes out for the occasional bevvy, making him out as some sort of drunken whoremonger who's wasting his career. I suspect the reality is quite different and while he's not a monk, he's looked after himself well enough and pretty much has the best career he could have had.
He was a waster in an England jersey - no question about that. Every tournament after Euro 2004 (when he was still with us) has been absolutely pitiful for him.
He could certainly have been better at international level. Record goal scorer but do you know how many World Cup goals Wayne has to his name? And yet is the record goal scorer. I guess that was my point, he's clearly had a fantastic career, yet the suspicion lingers that he could have been even better. If Ronaldinho gets a mention, then it's probably fair for Wayne to get one too.
Good call. Could have been better than shearerStan Collymore for me. This guy just had everything.
A powerful shot in both feet. Quick, strong, good in the air, could score poachers goals as well as efforts from long range. Great first touch, he really could have been anything he wanted.
I remember United sniffing around him then signed Andy Cole instead (an inferior player). I'm sure Collymore would have had a much better career had he gone to the Mancs and been guided by Fergie rather then ending up at Liverpool and being managed by the weak Roy Evans.
