...didn’t get an Everton book but I did get A.P McCoy’s ‘My Racing Life’.
got two the Everton 100 year autobiography, and the most important games one - all ordered via amazon on this site of course as I cheated picked them and my son used his amazon account lol
Not had chance to browse through them as yet visitor etc - I also bought the prince of centre halfs TG Jones for my older brother as he has had the dreaded flu virus - sentimental reasons I have a copy , but our late father raved about him when we banged on how great Labone was!

We really had no right getting the value we did from Reidy and Andy Gray, both were effectively write offs when HK bought them! Just shows what a genius he was!
It's hard to read in other books - how we formed and how we got so run out of town at Anfield - the players and fans constructed the terraces stands etc - even a press box - and King John Holding shafted us trying to treble the rent to spawn the devil we now know!
We had to fight with the FA to retain our name he tried to pinch that too!
we did the correct thing to rid him - the rest is history as they say!
Hope you enjoy your book every book goes into the detail better, as time goes on the history becomes more clearer

In a book he stated the clubs truely christened the blues the school of science footballers - he stated it was that easy in the title team through games he felt like he was at walking pace!
When the great Dixie Dean stated TG Jones was the best all round total footballer he had ever seen better than The great John Charles - our club treated hin despicably sadly!

Yes and when kelly was got rid of TG applied for the vacant managers job after his great european games with Lazio with the lowly Bangor City far, better credentials than anyone, they gave it to a rookie Ian buchan a fitness coach with no football experience!
TG was asked to be a member of the hall of fame - offered a fortune by phillip carter had the meal did not speak to the audience , and shot back to North Wales ASAP- boy did we treat him badly!
He told Carter the full anger of how he had been treated!
