Hi everyone!

My husband is a lifelong Everton supporter and hasn't been to a match in ages. I wanted to buy him tickets for Christmas, but I'm having a little trouble with seating as I don't know much about Goodison at all.

Because of work, the only match he can attend is the 13th of May vs Watford (is this the final match of the season?)

As you can't buy match tickets this far in advance through the club, I'm looking on Stubhub and the only affordable tickets are:

Family Enclosure 3, Row E (but we don't have kids)
Upper Gwladys 4, Row L
Upper Gwladys 5, Row NN

From what I've read the Upper Gwladys seats would be a [Poor language removed] view, but I can't afford anything better at the moment.

Is it worth waiting until closer to the match to see if better tickets go on sale, or should I buy these up from Stubhub now while I can? I'm not quite sure how this works.

Thanks everyone :)

Welcome.

How many tickets are you looking for?

Forget the family enclosure - There must be at least one Kid/Junior and one Adult per group and a maximum of two Adults to one Kid/Junior for Season Ticket purchases in the Family Enclosure.

The last home game of the season is a high demand game, but I think you'll be fine waiting until they go on general sale (you can buy 'foreverton membership which gives you a priority - see here http://www.evertonfc.com/news/2016/07/01/new-foreverton-membership) and more tickets at an acceptable value will also prop up on Stubhub closer to the match.

IM sure loads will appear on stubhub nearer the time so you are sure best off waiting IMO. Its not so much the rows that equate into a decent view, more the seat numbers as that's what determines if you are behind a pillar.
Any seat in the lower Gwladys before row Z (ish) will be fine as the pillars are behind that so that's what I would try to get personally. Upper Gwladys the pillars are infront of row A so its the seat numbers that are important, perhaps a season UG ST holder could advise.
Park end doesn't have pillars so all seats would be good, bit more pricey tho.
Avoid the lower bullens past about row N?!

Hiya - I'm after 2 tickets. That's good to know about Foreverton membership, I'll definitely have a look into that! Thanks very much. As you said it's the last home game so I'm worried about tickets selling out but maybe I'll just need to keep a very close eye on the website!

Thanks for the info! I've never been to Goodison so I'm hopeless with the views. I'll definitely keep this in mind!

Neither have most people on here

If the IOM in your name means you are on the Isle of Man, might be worth trying to get in touch with a guy called Juan Kermode juankermode@hotmail.com . He is chairman of the IoM supporters club, is a mine of info, a really sound bloke and may well be able to source the tickets for you if you join.

Aye fella. Still listed as the contact on Everton's official site. House is called Goodison and lives in Ballasalla fella.
Juan isn't an uncommon first name, but pronounced Jewan.
Kermode is a proper Manx surname.
Hear endeth the nutters lesson.
You're welcome.
it just sounds like a really dodgy name... say it quickly!

I'd be making some sort of IOU ticket so you have a physical gift. Probably find an image of a ticket online then just edit it, then just buy real ones closer the time in a better spec than is available on stubhub at the minute

If you're after 2 tickets you'll need to pay for 2 memberships though, which probably isn't worth it just for the last game of the season.
As someone else mentioned more tickets will come up on stubhub for reasonable prices closer to the time so def worth keeping an eye on that.
