You have to be put in something, but a mate of mine was buried in cardboard one. No idea why, but it was a sudden death so his wife probably decided. He wasnt the type to bother about life other than the next day.

The cardboard coffins cost more than a wooden box would you believe .... a woman I work with, her brother died from a rare strain of Leukaemia, his wish was to be buried on a cardboard coffin.... cost a fortune
