Of course, which is why they write/support what they think their readership will agree with by and large.

Couldn't disagree with your last two posts more mate. If the S*n decides it's best for them if the Tories stay in power then for the next year they'll report positive Tory stories and not so many negative ones. Same with any newspaper that affect how people vote.

the day i see a paper print contrasting arguments on the same day will be the day I have any faith in our media, you can't tell me every single person in that office has the same view and is not just pandering to their agenda

A journo will write for whoever pays them I guess. If you think about it, it is only the political stories, and editorial columns that might have an agenda. Sport, gossip, proper news, just fill the pages I suppose.

Cant see why who is in power affects a newspapers ability to make money/sell copies and ads to be honest. And I honestly dont think people take their political views from a newspaper. They might buy one that reflects what they think, but not have their mind changed by one.

He's too weak to be considered PM material.

He does remind me a bit of John Major to be honest - a bloke who is loudly proclaimed as being weak, but whose instincts are usually right and whose main errors come from following the advice of people who probably want to see him fail.

Interesting analysis and comparison, but in a sense there is his weakness, by not having the courage of his own convictions and following the advice of others.

It is if you assume that Murdoch knew about what was being printed in the S*n before it hit the shops.
Aye he'd have known, but I think it's a symbolic boycott more than anything, so that's why it makes more sense to boycott that joke of a paper because they're the ones that actually printed the bollocks.
