Hey all

I have it on very good authority that Everton FC and Newcastle FC are at advanced stages of agreeing to participate in the 2012 Vodacom Challenge down here in South Africa in 2012 (July) .... I hear Newcastle are sorted, but Everton are playing hardball on the fees. I'd have thought we could do with as many friends and fans as possible at present and that we'd be jumping at franchise expanding opportunities .. I hope the blokes there in "head-office" get this deal signed. Anyone going to the chat with Davey Moyes the week perhaps you wanna ask him if he is keen to come and is insisting that it happen ... obviously as a pre season warm up I'd hope he'd have to be consulted ....

That would be fantastic! Great exposure for South African talents and even more for Everton. Shame I won't be able to go home in July but maybe there will at least be good coverage of the tournament if they're more english clubs playing in it.
 

Sounds good. Could do with change of scenery for pre-season tbh. Expect the club to mess it up over the finances though.

God help those South African's who want Everton shirts, becausce they will want Everton shirts.

Hold on. July? We're supposed to be playing Rangers at that time. We go to SA we'll miss out on the chance to expand our franchise to potato skinned, Bucky-swigging neds who carry knives in their socks.
