This. Some vitamins your body can store - A, D, E & K so you dont need to consume them every day, the others you can easily get from eating a half decent dieti'd say big con.
eat proper then you dont need supplements.

I think by and large they're a waste of time, unless you have a very unhealthy lifestyle, either in terms of poor diet, lack of sunlight etc.
Could you explain the sunshine bit? Feel like dogshyte when I'm closed up for days with my job...but then I work outside for a day, and *poof* feel great...or at least back to normal.

Cheers...part of that dogshyte feeling is probably the sedentary 'behind the desk' issue. However, with my dairy consumption statistically in the upper 90's without me even checking, it's good to know that Calcium absorption is directly affected by sunlight.
so basically if you live in Northern Europe you're sort of screwed! Interesting to see oily fish is a vitamin d source too. Oily fish seems like some kind of super food, full of various nutrients and vitamins.Vitamin D innit. We get the majority of it from the sun.
