Yeah well, I'm a grumpy sod at the best of times so ringing me up is only going to turn a potential in to a NO.

Going to buy a BT8500 telephone as soon as I can. Apparently it weeds out nuisance calls before you receive them and all for a very reasonable £59.

I've got a set of them, but they only block numbers that you set as unwanted, so you'd have got that call anyway

You not liking being rung is down to you, but in the main, when done in the right manner it can be very effective in this context, and I speak as someone who works in the industry

Fair play to you, FLHD but personally I couldn't cold call for exactly that reason. I DO NOT ASK to be rung up and as I am self employed and therefore need a telephone, the last thing I need is someone calling up to basically waste my time on something I have no interest in. I am always polite but I would rather not have to bothered in the first instance.
