Virgin Mobile, anybody ?

Coming to the end of my rip-off 24 month contract with Vodafone, looking at the options these seem to be the best in terms of price and what they offer.

For £15 a month rolling contract with Virgin you get unlimited texts, minutes, and data. They use EE's network so no worrying about dodgy service compared to the 'big' companies. I want an iPhone 5S 32GB, so that will cost me about £550 (buying a new in box from eBay). Total cost over two years of £910.

In comparison Vodafone have offered me Unlimited Texts and Minutes, and 4GB of Data for £31 a month ! I could probably get that down a bit if i rang up and threatened to cancel, but even if they offered me the same for £20 i'd be paying £480 over two years compared to Virgin's £360.

Anybody have any experience with Virgin Mobile ? Believe they use EE's network and will be offering 4G soon, so shouldn't have any complaints about service hopefully.

My personal phone I have just changed from Vodafone to Virgin, the service is much better for me. My work mobile is with Vodafone and in some places I can't get a signal but can with the Virgin phone.

That's what i was hoping for. Don't even get 3G where i live and in a lot of places round here with Vodafone.

the calls side of it is ok/tx are good but internet isnt much,fair useage limit is crap and they throttle it to death meaning you can veiw pages but not stream,sky to go is awful 90%of the time it supposed to be unlimited as well, they cut the limit a month after i got mine its abt 3 meg at the minute,be careful with them nothing is as good as it seems when you scratch the surface,twice been abroad with my phone and both times turned into a nightmare despite informing them before going cant wait till i am out of contract,mate in work the same

Just don't go with Orange/EE whatever they call themselves these days.

My contract is supposed to be £26 but I don't think it's ever been that, but I'm too lazy to do anything about it.

was on abt mobile phone internet bren, if its just calls tx you will be ok, limits and coverage are to be fair decent

3GB fair use apparently, think the most i've ever used with Vodafone is about 750 meg !
