Is there anyone else still buying records? I am and I was wondering if there were any other blues doing the same.

started buying vinyl again 3 years ago.
never buy anything online on discogs or so.
mostly rock, blues and jazz. only Albums no 7".
is there a northern soul scene in liverpool or what are you hunting for? :)

the double live album is great! b)

I'd assumed it was just him and her that listened to him if I'm honest, to find out there are more of you is worrying.

My sisters boyfriend flogged a load of old records recently, a site specifically for it as opposed to somewhere like ebay and he made a fortune from old dance records.

I jest Rupert, I LOL'd like you wouldn't believe.

My Mrs and her dad still buy vinyl, she bought him some gash Bob Sager record for Christmas, the pair of them need putting down.

Hahaha I've been well and truly lampooned here, I forgot about poor rupert

I buy it. Got a Pro-Ject Essential with a Cambridge amp. Got some big German speakers too. All entry level stuff, but is my first.

You say still, i'm 25 and only started about a year ago..

 well, i try to have a broad spectrum of all sorts of music.
my fav bands are Pearl Jam, Soundgarden and Alice in Chains if that's less worrying to you.

he probably sold it via discogs.com
worked 2 1/2 years in a record store over here in vienna... but my "High Fidelity" days are over.
i'd rather enjoy vinyl in my spare time than work with it professionally.

Yeah that sounds familiar, sold it mostly to Germans I think, they must love their old dance music.

Got a wall full of the stuff, some newish, most older than most of you lot.

It just sounds more like music, y'know?

it does sound more like music to me aswell.
just the vibe of it is totally different with the spinning black circle and that you have to flip it over after 25 minutes to continue hearing.
and it gives real value to music again in days it's consumed merely like fast food as an mp3 file.

what do you consider "old"? or do you mean something like 80s/90s detroit techno?
what's big or is played in clubs in liverpool at the moment?
