But anyrate, the price of 2nd hand ones is mad. I have every AC/DC album on vinyl upto when they went rubbish, (1983 ish), but the prices for some of them are nuts. I guess they have only re pressed the popular ones, so the less well known are like £90 on Amazon etc.

But having a new turntable and being able to play my old records is just ace. Beats CDs, DVDs, downloads, etc etc.

Got every Beatles albulm on vinyl being a car booter years ago two Sargent Pepper albulms, and a cheap deck to play them on got loads of old vinals too - they are still common place on car boots!

Worth a few bob I reckon. I have the White Album, complete with the photos and fold out lyric sheet, pristine condition. Ace of Spades on gold vinyl too. Pay the mortgage off them two!

As you say, vinyl's been on the rise again. In the States it's a hipster thing...you know the ones, skinny jeans, microbrewery beers and beards. You have no worries though, age precludes you from being one of those bells. You're just officially "cool" again.
