Vintage Bayern Munich kits

What an uncultured shower of lids you are. Not one comment? I should have started a thread on favourite pizza...

To be fair mate, you've started a thread about Bayern Munich on an Everton forum on a day where Everton have actually signed an actual player.

This was never going to be a 'Landon Donovan' was it?

Nice shirts though.

Understood. Bayern don't seem to know what colours they're wearing; predominantly blue, then red and white stripes, then all red, then back to blue again... I thought it was an interesting contrast to our consistent blue and white.

Something I noticed on holiday is that on the back of their shirts the umlaut on the badge is not the usual 2 dots but a ' in the middle of the U.

Never noticed that before, and it seems it's the only time it's like that when writing Munchen.

Bit more of 1860 fan tbh nesky.
No seriously, been bit of shirt collector in the past, albeit I'm not really a Bayern fan I do have one of their early eighties shirt with the original retro numbering on the back. Well as being different it did look super cool on, but being eighties and retro the skin tight sizes dictate only folks with athletic physiques need apply; I'm no longer that..

Anyway, I notice a fair bit of Barca, Hibs, Fulham designs in there..:confused2:

The only thing I hate about vintage kits is that I remember them when they first came out.......

I'm no lover of Bayern, just for the record and much prefer 1860. But I'm interested in old kits and how clubs can mess about with them.

Re the umlaut on the badge, I think that's a stylistic liberty just to make it fit inside the concentric circles.

I heard their all black kit was modelled on the SS uniforms. Anyone shed any light on that?
