Pretty decent appointment by them, and the squad are more likely to respond to his methods than the Chelski clique.

As much as i hate Spurs, they've done well here.

better fit for the club than he was at Chelsea. Plus, he won't have to deal with players constantly undermining him.

Even with Chelsea's struggles under AVB, their younger players responded well to him (Juan Mata and Daniel Sturridge mainly) the older guys just didn't want to do his style (and considering he was replacing a very good and well liked coach in Carlo Ancelotti did no favors).

But will Spurs finish higher than the 4th that 'arry got them to. Can't see it myself......

probably not, modric looks almost certain to leave and i wouldn't be suprised if a few others will be going. They have a very injury prone defence as well, could be a bit of a rebuilding job for them this season and the usual "redknapp is a world class manager" stupidity will be spouted.

I find it laughable that spurs would choose AVB over Moyesie. AVB had one good season with a team who always finish first or second in their league and its generally a very weak league. He proved at Chelsea that the Premier League is far too difficult for him and seriously struggled. Moyes is a proven manager and any intelligent person can see that Moyes is far more likely to provide squad harmony and results than AVB. I'm obviously happy that Spurs have not gone for Moyes but I think Moyes is holding out for the United job.
It may be the case that Levy has told Kenwright he wouldn't go for Moyes out of respect for their friendship but thats unlikely considering friendships in football are non existent.

Undefeated in Portugal, won the league, their domestic cup and the Europa League....

BS
as a manager you are judged by trophies, how is it moys can get us 4th5th6th positions but cant win us a trophy, moyes still has a lot to learn and is still learning his trade despite 10 years worth of experience. Since 2004 he hasnt cracked on and shown his worth as fast as everyone expected, but it will come

Regardless of any interest Moyes had or didn't have in the job I don't think levy was remotely interested in him. At the end of last season obviously before capello left I think spurs thought redknapp would be leaving for England now and their shortlist was Ancelotti & Owen Coyle then this season I think Rodgers was number one and AVB has obviously got it and Moyes wasn't even considered and I don't believe it was anything to do with Kenwright or any friendship it was simply levy doesn't fancy him.

I know I'm new 'ish' on here but I was saying that to the best of my knowledge that Levy didn't like him & the rest of the above all season in kipper .
