Nigeria striker Victor Anichebe has announced he will be leaving West Bromwich Albion when his contract expires next month.

He wrote on Twitter: "Thank you to all the @WBAFCofficial fans for the support during my time at the club! I wish you all the best for the future."

The 28-year-old signed from Everton in September 2013 and played 63 times for West Brom, scoring nine goals.

He has started just three Premier League games this season.

He failed to score a single goal this season after appearing in 14 matches in all competitions.

Most of the replies are WBA fans wishing him well.

Sweet guy but wouldn't want him back at the club, poor lad was horrendously injury prone for a start.

Did hugely enjoy the goal he scored for WBA against Liverpool though amd wish him well.

Strange that he's never spent time in the championship or league 1. When he could get a few games on the bounce he showed he had good control and could use his physique, I'd say he was even a decent finisher. Problem is his movement and footballing intelligence has never been premier league level. At a lower level he might do OK. Much like Vaughan, who also had woeful injuries.
