Player Valuation: £500k
Apart from his name being spelt incorrectly, what can we expect from him?

What are his strengths and weaknesses?

Quite looking forward to seeing him in action, although I feel quite deflated the fact we lost someone else but I also believe we've paid over the odds for him. Hopefully, in the long run, it might prove to be some good business.

Good luck with the remainder of the season - here's hoping "the fridge" (christ knows why we named him that) shoves a few past the red side of the city!!

Sulking.

The slamming of fists into the ground.

Half-arsed performances.

The raucous sound of opposition fan laughter.

No, but seriously, he's a carthorse. If you're lucky you'll get a five game burst out of him at some point this season where he'll net a few but I seriously doubt he'll ever manage more than 10 goals a season at this level.

A £6m fee is nothing short of robbery - you've paid at the very least three times his actual value.

Weaknesses;

He falls over a lot
He likes a moan
He can be extremely lazy
He thinks he's better than he is

Strengths;

He's built like a brick **** house
errrmmm.......

Just joking, he could do well for you mate, he can be a real physical presence at times. Good luck.

TBH the past season or two he's been a decent option off the bench for us and led the line quite well too.

He's never been prolific and he hasn't got a goalscorers instincts IMO. That said his finishing has come on leaps and bounds as he used to be like a baby elephant.

He seems quite fragile mentally and can be completely anonymous for a few games at a time. He can also be a massive handful when he's on his game, which was becoming more often over the past 12-18 months.

He's very injury prone though and I've wanted him gone for a long time just on the back of getting maybe 20-25 games a season out of him tops.

If he's your first choice striker I think you'll be disappointed. If he's to be a good option from the bench and occasional starter he'll be OK for you.

I think he'll do really well for you. He's shown that he does have the ability but it's just consistency that's the issue.

He can hold the ball up really well and when he wants to he's a good finisher.

Strengths:

Absolutely solid. Not many stronger lids about.*

Boss at holding defenders off with his back to goal, spinning and getting a shot off.

Holds the ball up well.

A fairly hard worker these days.

Very quick for his size.

Weaknesses

About as calm in front of goal as your average keeper.

Attitude is questionable at times. Often spends longer moaning than he does actually doing stuff.

Takes a few groans when he misses a sitter as the entire fan base hating him.

*Often doesn't use his strength to his advantage. He'll try and nip round a player, for example, rather than just barging him the [Poor language removed] out the way. Learning to do so more lately, though.

Had a fair few injuries.

Falls over more than a 3 year old kid.

All in all I think he'll do well for you lot. We can't argue with the price, like, but IMO it's a shame we're selling him just as he's coming good.**

**but at the same time he may well be the biggest donkey ever. All depends on his attitude. If he's got a new lease of life he'll be good - if he decides he doesn't like your club he's useless.

when in the mood and fit he will be a handful mate and can cause all kinds of problems. Newcastle and City at home ans Spurs away spring to mind from last season as really good front man performances. Unfortunately has constant fitness issues and can be a bit of a stroppy ****er when its not going his way. When he holds up play and lays it off unfortunately for me he admires his pass too much instead of turning and racing to get into the box but I think Clarke is a good coach and if he can keep him fit I think its a decent signing. He has been part of the furniture here for years so I think the move will do him good and there was no way we could turn down a bid of 5-6m. All the best to him though Liam as long as its not against us.

...I think he's far enough into his career to review his goals per game and injury record and conclude that neither is very good. Its difficult to see that changing but time will tell.
