For some reason VdV always looks brilliant, but ends up moving after a while or not being played.

Unless he plays #10 he's virtually ineffective, due in no small part to him sulking about not playing #10. Seen him left, right, deeper in midfield and it's never worked. Sounds like he lets his managers know what he thinks as well which may explain why he's not around anywhere for long. Boss when he does play #10 like.
 
So what is his abb: RVV, ah here, head too sloshed, VVV, bloody Dutch names, RVP - impossible to remember when too many ales on board -- always a 'V' in them. Van Housekeeper, Van Whatever. Decent signing for Van WhatshisdutchnamethatbeginswithorhasaVinthemiddleorend. I don't recall him getting injured that much. However, it gets worse, another V in the frame. AVB wants to sell him :lol: I swear I'm going teatotal. Way too many V's.

I have seen the V destroy teams -- be a good signing. Cheaper than your man from Inter -- my head is too fuzzy to remember his name, probably another V - ex Real Madrid with possible V name. Bald guy who postures a lot on the pitch since Mourinho left their average over achieving side.
 
Sneidjer -- that's it! Wesley Sniedjer - bet if one pronouced his name in Dutch, it would be Vesly vsnieder - ah here, I'm waffling now.

Don't get me wrong, he's a great player. Just in answer to the riddle of why he always seems to leave soon after joining I think it has a lot to do with his apparent lack of willingness to change it around at the managers request. 'Virtually ineffective' may have been a tad harsh, I admit.
