VAUGHAN

I think you're wrong. There have always been questionmarks over Anichebe's attitude & I think Moyes would rather keep him around the club where he can keep a close eye on him. Vaughan's always had a sensible head on his shoulders & if he goes away from the club for a few months there's no doubt that he'd get his head down & do what was asked & then come back ready to battle his way into our 1st team.

If Anichebe hadn't got injured I think there's about a 50:50 chance that he would have been elsewhere now. Before he got injured I felt the next 6 months were going to be vital. He had that fall out with Moyes & I thought it was going to make or break him, either he was going to sort his head out & become the player he has the potential to be, or be moved on.

I like them both & think with a bit of luck they can both be excellent but to say Moyes must rate Anichebe more highly than he rates Vaughan because he brought him on in right midfield & left Vaughan on the bench is a stupid comment

absolutely bang on

Thats now what I said though, was it? (y)

The constant comparisons between the two is tedious anyway. Both different type of players, Anichebe impressed me on the right before he got injured.

Nope, I was just summarising in case people thought I had something against Anichebe & basically explaining the reasons for the essay that preceeded it. Completely agree that the comparisons are getting tedious
