Sharpys top lip

Player Valuation: £60m
Replacing Johnson immediately is imperative, particularly as James Vaughan is likely to be suspended for the opening of the season after being sent off during Wednesday night’s 2-0 defeat against Chicago Fire.

Everton are waiting to hear back from the FA once they have received the report from the official at Toyota Park but are bracing themselves for bad news. That said, given the nature of the foul for which Vaughan was dismissed, there can be few complaints.

More good news hey!!

We should really be expecting Vaughany to recieve his match ban against Blackburn, lets face it, when have the FA ever done us favours?? You could put your mortgage however on the likes of Gerrard, Lampard or Ronaldo etc to have their red cards recinded if they where in young Vaughan's position. One rule for the bigs boys, and another rule for Everton.

What do you expect, the lad commited a stupid foul and is getting punished for it. Too aggressive for his own good

He deserved it, poor challenge.

In all honesty, the break could be good for him. Give him longer to work on his fitness and make sure he's 100% ready.

He looked great when he came on, hes alot better than johson, faster, more confident, more skillful, more shots too. Hes hungry for goals. I think he could partner up with yakubu quite nicely, and we need to buy a sub striker.

As for the sending off, it was a sending off, but honestly, it wasnt that bad to be banned from blackburn, he lost the ball and tried to get it back, it was a stupid foul, but he was excited about playing again, ambitious, you cant blame him much really, just a careless fould
