[Fans View] Vaughan & Everton Strikers
James Vaughan scored two goals for England's U19 team on Tuesday evening as England defeated Poland.
What this does in the eyes of the fans is to raise the question, "When is a player old enough?"
Does every player need to play x amount of games before they are able to play regularly in the premiership?
I don't actually think James is ready yet but it is great to see him scoring not only for England but also for Everton against West Ham, what a great finish that was!
With Andrew Johnson, James Beattie, James McFadden, Victor Anichebe and James Vaughan all fighting to play first team football, surely the one player we do not need to buy is a striker.
But if Preston don't get promoted David Nugent has said he wants to move and will only move to Everton.
So do we carry on as we are, starting Victor every now and again, giving Vaughan the occasional few minutes and wait for them to mature?
Or do we sign someone like Nugent (an Everton fan) and sell the likes of Beattie who except for one spell after New Year has been a dissapointment?
Just another headache for moyes, I expect this is a good headache for him though!
