To be honest chrissy I'm kinda watching it off and in as I'm sky plus sing it to watch again..... It seems to centre around pope benedict and the scandals of homosexuality, corruption and wrong doing in the Vatican bank

True, but they probably - and entirely accidentally - had a massive positive impact on the development of modern science, if for no other reason than during the late middle ages / renaissance people had to demonstrate the correctness of a thing or be burnt at the stake.
