At last, something really useful being implemented and should speed things up concerning free kicks and make things more straightforward. Football recently has been in danger of annoying many potential and existing fans by how slow it has got with diving and other stoppages.

when a player dives and they are lying prostrate on the ground then the referee should use it to draw an outline around them like at a murder scene

If our set piece takers were already boss slotters when encroaching was prevalent, imagine the things they'll be able to do with the wall in its correct position.

I think the spray has fixed a problem which didn't really exist in the first place. The ball gets placed, and the ref moves the wall back 10 yards - nothing really has changed.
The bigger problem is that players stand 1 or 2 yards away until the ref moves them preventing teams from taking quick free kicks. No amount of spray is going to fix that.
