My parents were from Liverpool and moved me and my bro back here when we were 5 and 3 years old. My dad said we should never have come back and should have at least moved back to Canada after high school. Been back here nearly 40 years now!

Ah fair dos mate. I'm not being entirely serious, the UK ain't perfect but it's not the worst place in the world. Tbf it's basically impossible to eek out a living in Vancouver with the housing costs these days.
I can imagine. Got the impression it was a high demand market when I last visited in 2011. Can't imagine it got better. Lad I used to work with got a job at UBC and was delighted, until he saw the cost of living lol. Think he ended up in Edmonton actually.

Things may have changed but when I visited Vancouver 20 odd years ago, it had some extremely mad areas. Great city though.
Oh yeah. Flew over there last year and we were starving after the flight so we went for a kebab and as soon as we got out the car some zombied lad shuffled past who looked like he'd just been glassed.
