As some will know I deliver parcels for a living.

Was told to day of a scam that has already seen 100s, if not 1000s affected.

A Courier phones, asking if you will be in at X 0'Clock, then turns up with flowers and some wine. Valentine pressie, whats not to like?

Then says cos its booze, they need £3.50 delivery payment to verify the delivery to an 18 pus year old. Credit/debit card only, obvs.

Then they empty your bank account. Quickly.

No genuine courier will ever ask for a payment. All delivery charges have been paid by customer/sender anyrate.

Not a joke this. Just let your girlfriends/wives/elderly parents etc know.
ffs Roy you’ve just killed my graft there lid

Last year, I was part of a security ops team for a major retailer.
We turned up at 4/5 am and we tried to get in and rob our own stores.
You wouldn't believe how far a shirt and tie get you.
It isn't that long ago I could wear a high viz and carry a clipboard to get airside at an airport by going through a ramp side company.
