Uwe Rosler takes over at Wigan

A few links coming together here with the obvious Wigan links but also Rosler took both Jake Bidwell and Adam Forshaw to Brentford from our youth teams.

I always liked Rosler and he was doing a good job at the Bees. Wonder if we will see either of Bidwell or Forshaw follow him back up North.

Wigan Athletic have sacked their manager Uwe Rösler, four days after a resounding vote of confidence from chairman Dave Whelan.

Rösler, who was appointed in December 2013, came under pressure after two league wins in twelve games left them 22nd in the Championship. Assistant manager Graham Barrow will take temporary charge, assisted by the first team coach Eric Black.

Did a great job at Brentford, and did very well last season at Wigan. Thought they would be challenging for promotion this season, not relegation.
