The Echo have said that Unsworth is keeping Galloway and Browning for this season, he'll probably keep Pennington as well knowing him.
Its looks like Feeney, Gibson, Astley, Ouzounidis and Warnock will have their places in the u23s taken off them this season by Unsworth. He done it last season too by playing Garbutt, Grant, Henen and Baxter ahead of younger players who actually have a future.

Surely Marcel the magician will step in and stop him from doing this AGAIN ?

If you know your history both League winning sides had local lads playing or reserves playing to become pivotal in the teams of the 1960.s and 1980.s - too many too mention urm .......... a poor post........

Silva and Brands should have their own choice for U-23 Manager now. There needs to be a clear method of playing set-up throughout the entire club.

We consistently play more young players than most if not all of our competitors. By keeping some of the older lads we go some way to redress the balance.

I see no problem in it. All of them are solid championship players. It will raise the standard for teenagers to get into the team which can only be a good thing.

If the younger players can’t shift Browning Pennington etc then they are obviously not good enough
I’m sure they will all get their chances and those that take them will keep their place
I’d say it’s a case that Silva doesn’t want players training with the first team squad who he knows won’t feature
He has consistently said a squad of 25 is big enough

If a Championship team come in for them I’m sure they will be sold / loaned out

Well we have 1 in our U18s, Ethan Warnock 15 February 2001 (age 17) , I presume the OP means its harder for the u18s to get games at a higher age group with players blocking their paths.
