In classic Everton style, the club will finish with about the same points as last year (omitting the 6 points deduction). Is this a good season? Overall are we amused? I’ll stick a poll in..

I’m pretty content and a little surprised at how we have managed it..

the first half of the season was terrible, the second half-ish (since Moyes) was pretty good. We should never be satisfied with 13th but given the circumstances and the context of the past few seasons we can we happy with mid table mediocrity for now. It was nice to not worry about results for the last 8/10 games or so.

Considering 3 relegation battles on the trot, a hasbeen trying to instill that staying in the league was the best we could hope for and where we were at Christmas you would have to say happy ish. With a lot of players out of contract, new ambitious owners, better manager and a full summer transfer window to start the rebuild we have to do better than 13th next season. Not expecting anything unrealistic but definitely has to be a top 10 finish at minimum.

It's not great, but compared to the last few years it's a step in the right direction. I think next year will be the first in a while we aren't touted as relegation strugglers by the media, which might help us recruitment wise this summer.

Last summer I said I just wanted the club to make some small progress on the pitch, considering our limitations both financially and in terms of playing staff.
Under Dyche we were regressing massively in the first half of the season.
After the initial uplift under Moyes I think we had too many draws, but at least they weren’t defeats.

So for the new season ahead, same again - just make some progress up the league, and maybe take the league cup a bit more seriously for once

You could literally say its a season of 2 halfs  I would say based on the 2nd half and were we was, its been a decent season, considering we are only 3 points behind last seasons total. Lets hope this Moyes Era carries on the way its began

Dyche 17 points from 57
Moyes 28 points from 54
Whilst it isn't as simple as this, a little of basic maths would suggest that our form under Moyes would likely have put us eighth over an entire season.

That would be amazing considering our squad. Whilst 13th isn't where I would want us to be, it's a good position when you consider this season in its entirety.

Good point
