Ronaldo won't be 100%.

The German midfield is on to 3rd stringers.

The diamond finally seems to be clicking.

If all Portugal can muster against Mexico is a tepid, uninspiring 1-0 win... They should knuckle under the true kings of CONCACAF, yeah?

Maybe, just maybe, it's not all despair in Group G for the Yanks?

There's still a backline capable of causing mass panic. And they'll have tonight's match against the Super Eagles to fix it once and for all. Arguably the best team in Africa, Nigeria are nothing to sneeze at. A win here will be a much bigger statement than handlings of Azerbaijan and Turkey ever were. There's some talent on this side, including Victor Moses from across the park. It'll be the toughest opponent since the Ukrainian drubbing the European half of USMNT faced a few months ago.

Next stop, a World Cup that... May not be as terrible as we first envisioned. But first up, it's reigning North American champion vs reigning African champion.
