He is crap at footy...very athletic, nothing more. Trampolines all over his body, and no clue what to do when the pressure is on.
The standard for the top American player who might look to develop. Dempsey is light years ahead of most of our players...
Sadly footy is still in it's infancy in this country...I generally don't like Dempsey, but he is one of our only players not afraid of controlling a ball in tight spaces and willing to make a risky pass forward.
Yedlin much like Zardes and Jozy are far more athletic than Dempsey, but Dempsey possesses actual footy acumen...we don't have anyone who can bridge both.
Playing for the shirt/country also was always our strength...that silly patriotism we have over here...largely our best players are German these days. It's changed with Jurgen
