West Coast. Got a couple of different sets of friends out there (who I'm going to see in 6 weeks time). If there's a chance I can slip through the net and not come back, that's happening *wishes

How about you?

I'd love to go to San Fran, maybe New York. Perhaps even Canada.

These plans are most definitely in the design phase, but hopefully something comes to fruition!

Or you could just both move to St. Louis....

Yeah but that's because the Americans are obsessed with jarg Harvards. The majority of your universities wouldn't touch our polytechnics mate. I've lectured at a few too. Poor quality students, thick as butter.

Listen, just because you've managed to scrape out a living giving hand jobs to tourists in back alleys without a degree, doesn't mean you should be advising people not to get one themselves.

If you really want to move here, go to Uni here. Get accepted somewhere, and when you get out you'll be eligible for a temporary work visa that will allow an employer to hire you immediately without having to sponsor you for an H1B visa right away. Just simply moving here and trying to find a job is not that easy. Much easier in Canada though if you're from the UK, but it's too damn cold up there.

Funnily enough I was seriously considering applying to do a masters in the states, depending on how my degree goes.

Just starting this up again, does anyone have a clue about UCAS points? if I get like 3 C's at AS Level it will equal 120 points, as a C is 40, but will they be added onto your final A Level grade?

Yes.

However many Universities will put more emphasis on the actual subjects being studied than the UCAS points gained. Keep that in mind.

American Universities love giving UK (and other foreign students) scholarships, a bit scandalous really when you look at how much natives have to pay over there.

I remember when i was originally doing my A-levels i was looking at the requirements of US colleges for UK applicants, the grades required really surprised me.
