Underrated Music

What music do you listen to and think is underrated? I'm just interested to see what people class as underrated music or songs that should be appreciated more.

I listen to stuff and think 'How can people not like this?' I hope I'm not the only one. :blink:

If you have anything you feel is underrated and should be known more or whatever feel free to post, I'll be interested (y)

One of the 88 keys videos that came up for me shown them using a Akai product, been looking at them all day for making my own music like the video I posted, weird.

With all the 'Yay or Nay' music threads recently, I was thinking about starting a 'Underrated Music' sort of thread.

Well, this one at the time didn't really take off, but I'd like to discuss bands that in your view are underrated. I'll start with...

Doves. Four excellent records. Modest commercial success (especially outside of the UK). Lost Souls, their first album, was and is one of my favorite all time albums. Maybe they are not viewed as 'underrated' in the UK. Here, they are practically unknown.

Kevin Devine - Eight great albums, all round nice guy. Recently released 2 albums on the same day, one of which 'Bubblegum' was IMO the best album released last year

Has never been fussed about them on record (find them a bit boring), but saw them live at a festival and they were good fun. Guy Garvey seems to be a real nice guy, too.

I've met him before, as well. Can confirm that he is indeed a nice guy.
