Uncomfortably Numb

Feeling numb and not getting angry when Everton was beaten is not a good sign. It's like Martinez's 2nd and 3rd season. You just give up.

We are pretty dump in every department. Other teams have got better we have got a lot worse with zero signs
of any way to improve. The whole club is in disarray ................

the apathy I have is what surprises me about myself, there's a resignation to it all. I knew the game was on today and was in no rush to get to watch the game. when I did get home I chose to walk the dogs rather than wait and go after the match, so unlike me. Saw none of the Watford game last week, not very likely to watch today's game other than to look out for our goal on twitter.
actually If i'm totally honest I'm more miffed that the Young Munster rugby match was called off. not good is it !.

This isn't a dig but how have you possibly come to that conclusion?

Southampton for example have got 5 wins in 28 attempts. And you think they will win 4 in the next 10?

I think 38 points will be enough to stay up.

Basing it on the law of averages. Before today, every team below us except Brighton have 4-6 games of final 10 against another team from bottom half. We have 7 games against bottom half teams. 3 home 4 away. Given our away record if we lose those 4 then it closes the gap and means 4 teams below us are within a few points of us. So if each of the bottom half win 50% of their games against each other then it makes Brighton, Huddersfield and Southampton must win games.

If most of the other ‘6-pointers’ end up in draws then 38 points might be enough.
